Meet the Moderator
Heath K. Rada is the Moderator of the 221st General Assembly (2014) of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). He is a retired executive of the American Red Cross and a former president of the Presbyterian School of Christian Education (now Union Presbyterian Seminary) in Richmond. As an active church member, Dr. Rada has served in numerous capacities on the local, presbytery, and national levels of the PC(USA). Currently he serves on the boards of the Presbyterian Mission Agency, the Montreat Conference Center, and the Presbyterian Homes of North Carolina. Read more.

Dr. Heath Rada, moderator of the Presbyterian Church (USA) General Assembly, visited First Presbyterian Church in Grand Island Thursday evening for a church supper that was enjoyed by members of numerous Presbyterian churches in Central Nebraska, including those in Minden, Kearney, Hastings and St. Paul. Heath Rada, Moderator of the 221st General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), is extending his “Call to the Church” to locations around the country. Rada hopes to continue dialog fostered by the Committee on the Office of the General Assembly (COGA) survey prepared following his October 2015 appeal to the PC(USA) to consider the shape and form of its future ministry.
