221st General Assembly (2014)

Exhibiting at the General Assembly

The Exhibit Hall will be located in Hall C of the Cobo Center, adjacent to where the assembly’s plenary sessions will be held. A preliminary plan for the Exhibit Hall layout is available in the Exhibitor Guide.

General Assembly theme
This year’s theme, Abound in Hope, is based upon Romans 15:13:
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (NRSV)
The Stated Clerk of the General Assembly encourages all exhibitors to consider organizing their exhibits around this theme.

Commissioner and Advisory Delegate Orientation
Once again this year, commissioners and advisory delegates will be oriented to the six agencies of the General Assembly in the Exhibit Hall on Saturday, June 14 from 5:30-7:00pm.  Therefore, exhibitors not representing one of those six agencies will be asked to vacate their exhibit during that time and only approved representatives of the agencies and commissioners and advisory delegates will be allowed in the hall.  We encourage all other exhibitors to make arrangements to secure items of value and drape your table with a sheet or the like during that time.  Though we will have extra security in place to protect your materials, we cannot make any guarantees.  We understand that this may be disappointing to some exhibitors; however, commissioners and advisory delegates found the time helpful as they performed their duties during the week.  More details will be sent to you at a later time.

Accommodations in Detroit
Hotel rooms are available for registered assembly participants at official assembly hotels at special rates.  Exhibitors will be given an opportunity to reserve rooms in these hotels during your registration. This will come in the form of an email which you will receive after your request to exhibit has been approved.
