If you currently serve as an endorsed chaplain or chaplain candidate, this section is to help you.  We have listed here information that you need to navigate policies, and guidance.  Also listed here are resources and report forms that will help you and your ministry.

Chaplain Training and Credentialing Convocation

This year 2015 Training will be held at two locations, one in the East and the other one the West Coast.  Montreat will again host our training from 2 August (Sunday) to 6 August (Thursday).  Zephyr Point in Nevada, will host the new West Coast training from 29 June (Monday) to 2 July (Thursday).  More information will be posted in about 3 weeks.

Young Adult Ministry Resources and Connections

Opportunities for post-chaplaincy ministry

In this section, we have posted opportunities for ministry that have been passed along to us by churches and other organizations. We cannot vouch for the accuracy of the information presented here; we are merely passing along what was sent to us. Further, we assume that you will follow the policies of your denomination in seeking a call. Learn more.

Policy and Guidance

  • Chaplains must maintain good standing with their home presbyteries. Please keep your home presbytery updated as to your contact information and any reports or training required by them. Failure to maintain your relationship with presbytery may result in the withdrawal of your endorsement. VA chaplains are highly encouraged to maintain their presbytery membership where assigned.
  • Chaplains hosting our endorser visits should work with their command section and review Endorser Visits to Military Installations Guidance.(PDF)
  • Active Duty Military Chaplains are required to attend the PCCMP Annual Training and Credentialing Convocations as mission and funding allows. Reserve, Guard, and VA chaplains are highly encouraged to attend if possible. If commanders cannot provide TDY/TAD funds, we highly encourage the use of permissive TDY/TAD to allow military members to attend training.
  • New Change:  You are required to submit an annual report to the PCCMP on your birth month.

  •  Activated chaplains are required to update contact information with the PCCMP office as soon as practical when PCSing. (Permanent Change of Station).
  • Chaplains are encouraged to support the PCCMP at ½% of their annual income.
  • All chaplains separating or retiring from the military are required to submit their DD 214 to the PCCMP for their permanent record
