221st General Assembly (2014)

Travel, Accommodations and Parking

Travel to Detroit
Detroit is easily accessible by most major airlines, Amtrak, and Megabus.

Consider MegaBus  ( if your city has that service – the stop in Detroit is downtown, near Cobo and the assembly hotels.  Detroit is on Amtrak’s ( Wolverine Route that connects Chicago and Detroit; the Detroit Amtrak station is located about 3 miles from downtown.

The Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) is located about 20 miles (20-30 minute drive) from downtown.  Assembly shuttles will operate between the airport and the assembly hotels on Thursday and Friday, June 12 and 13, and from the convention center to the airport on Saturday, June 21.

Commissioners, advisory delegates and others whose GA expenses are covered by the Office of the General Assembly or the Presbyterian Mission Agency will receive an email with instructions and a link for booking airline reservations through Concur (an on-line booking tool) and Azumano, the assembly travel agency, so that the fare is charged to the appropriate GA budget.  Please wait to receive this email to book travel.

Those paying their own travel may book through Azumano by calling 800-777-5149 (7:00 a.m. through 5:30 p.m., Pacific); the service fee is $25.  Or they may book directly with an airline or through another travel agency.

Delta and American Airlines are offering small discounts on certain fares to Detroit, along with other concessions that benefit the PC(USA).  Those who are not using Azumano may still get these discounts by booking directly with the airline:
