What is CLC?
Church Leadership Connection (CLC) is the Internet-based matching and referral system of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)
CLC connects congregations, presbyteries, synods, educational institutions and other Presbyterian entities seeking leaders for ministry positions with pastors, Christian educators, administrators, executives and other church professionals seeking a call to service within the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). A system of log-in IDs and passwords helps guarantee security and confidentiality within CLC.
Church Leadership Connection (CLC) is one resource in the call process.
CLC is one resource in a spiritual discernment process that invites individuals, churches and other ministry entities to hear God’s call to service within the church. CLC is not a job placement service but is more like an internet dating service where people with complementary skills and interests are brought together to get acquainted. Beyond that, more discussion, discovery and discernment are needed in order to hear God’s call to ministry.
Church Leadership Connection (CLC) consultants are knowledgeable and available.
CLC is also the people who work with the CLC system. CLC staff members ensure that information is entered accurately into the CLC system and that preliminary connections are made between parties. They also provide support over the phone and by email to presbytery staff, committee chairs, pastor nominating committees and stated clerks as well as to persons seeking a call to ministry.
Church Leadership Connection (CLC) is your per capita dollars at work.
There is no charge to PC(USA) individuals, congregations and church related entities to use CLC. The work of CLC, both staff and program costs, is fully funded by PC(USA) per capita funds. Go the Per Capita Web site for more information.
