Get Involved by Being a Leader in Your Community


As a point person, you will

  • Become trained in the basics about immigration, immigration reform, and community organizing
  • Contribute to the development of goals and strategies for assisting Presbyterians in responding the situation in their local communities
  • Identify other Presbyterians and our allies in your community
  • Share information, resources, and stories with Presbyterians locally and across the country to assist in advocacy and education efforts
  • Coordinate a visit to the district office for your representatives to share with them the values that should undergird our nation’s immigration policy:
    • A full pathway to citizenship
    • Elimination of backlogs
    • Create a pathway for future migration
    • Maintain our nation’s borders without militarizing them and doing so in a way that is humane and respects due process
  • Join a weekly spiritual practice that grounds your advocacy and education efforts
