Families and Spouses of Chaplains

Chaplains | Families and Spouses

This page is designed to help support our chaplain’s families with information and resources.

1. We highly encourage families of chaplains to contact us if there are issues where we might help you. We are your pastors. You may email or call either Larry or Don. Your contact will be treated as confidential and private.

Email Larry:

Email Don:

2. Family Retreats are an important part of our ministry to you. We now call these events “Chaplain Training and Credentialing Convocations” but they are still for the whole family. In fact we want to encourage you to participate even if your spouse cannot attend because of training or deployment. We are currently working on having two training convocations next year.  One in the east at Montreat, North Carolina in August and a second one will be on the west at a place and date still to be determined.

3. As we continue to develop this page, we will include information on how to handle PTSD and Deployment issues with your spouse, a spouse’s blog to help create a stronger support network for you, information on how to see and view your role as a chaplain’s spouse. If you have any suggestions, please contact us and we will work to include your ideas in this page.
