Denominational Rolls and Statistics

Data Requests

The Office of the General Assembly offers a variety of lists to authorized entries and others upon request and approval (see below.) These lists are produced as an Excel file and derived from information gathered from presbyteries and congregations through annual statistical reports and other official paperwork.

OGA can provide information regarding: ministers, churches, clerks of session, denominational statistics, assembly committee members, mid council stated clerks and executives, to list a few.

WHAT IS AN ‘AUTHORIZED ENTITY?”

An authorized entity are mid councils, churches, ministers, denominational agency partners and Presbyterian related entities. The Office of the General Assembly takes responsibility for approving the issuance of the list requested.

WHO ELSE CAN REQUEST AND RECEIVE DATA?

If the OGA receives a request from a church, minister, or a non-Presbyterian related group and OGA staff is not familiar with either the requesting party or the particular project for which a list is needed, the request will be referred to the pertinent mid council. It is the mid council’s responsibility to determine if permission is to be granted. By granting permission, the mid council assumes responsibility and complaints will be referred to the entity granting permission.

HOW TO ORDER?

A written/email request must be received that includes data requested, how the data will be used, and who is requesting the information. Request can be sent to OGA.Records@pcusa.org.
