Moderators' Conference Registration
By November 5

If you have any difficulties registering or other questions please email, or call (800) 728-7228. ext. 2417.

The Co-Moderators of the 224th General Assembly (2020), Gregory Bentley and Elona Street-Stewart, are looking forward to welcoming moderators, vice moderators, and moderators-elect of synods and presbyteries to this virtual conference focused on leading mid councils more deeply into the Matthew 25 vision, in the midst of this unusual COVID-19 crisis.

We will worship together, and topics will include duties of moderators, parliamentary procedure, the Constitution of the PC(USA), and more.

One important element is experiencing the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI). The IDI is a 50-item questionnaire that places individuals and groups along a developmental continuum from monocultural mindset to intercultural mindset. Intercultural competence, the capability to shift cultural perspective and appropriately adapt behaviors as one encounters both commonalities and differences across culture, is an important capacity in growing a kin-dom mindset in discipleship to Jesus Christ.

Registrants will receive the login information for the IDI after registration closes on November 5. All participants will be required to take and submit the IDI by November 16 in order to receive the Zoom link enabling participation in the conference.

Because our time together online will be shorter than we would have had in person, a number of topics will be introduced virtually, with participants encouraged to engage in advance in order to get the most out of the conference. Those elements will be added as they become available on the PC(USA)’s Equip platform. Registrants will be informed about how to log in to the ModCon course, currently under construction, once registration closes on November 5.
