General Assembly Nominating Committee

The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) is committed to the common belief in the priesthood of all believers – that all are gifted by God and called to service.  The General Assembly Nominating Committee seeks from among the diverse membership of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) the applications of persons who feel called to service in elected membership to over thirty entities – boards, commissions, and committees – of the General Assembly. 

 These entities include:

  • Advisory Committee on Social Witness Policy
  • Advisory Committee on the Constitution
  • Advocacy Committee for Racial Ethnic Concerns
  • Advocacy Committee for Women’s Concerns
  • Audit Committee
  • Board of Pensions

 The GA Nominating Committee will present for election by the 223rd General Assembly in June 2018 the names of persons who reflect a broad range of gifts and perspectives in service for these entities.

 If you are interested and feel a call to service on one of these entities please

  • review the description, skills and gifts needed, and time requirements in the “Entity List and Descriptions” found under the link “How Can I Apply’ on the left-hand side this website.
  • apply online by creating an account (if you have not already done so) at ganominations.pcusa.org and submit your application by December 5, 2017.
  • you may apply for up to two entities.
  • solicit at least three persons to serve as your references.  The reference form can be found on the right-hand side of this webpage under “Featured Resources.” References should be returned by January 2, 2018.
